Some of these page views may have taken place when your site was worked on. If your buddy visited to the site to see how his changes rendered live, his visits will show up in these statistics. Otherwise, the statistics are reliable. Your site gets a respectable amount of traffic.

Domain Deletion and Restore
Steve, this is the process as explained by the registrar.
Once a domain has not been renewed, we petition the registry to hold it for another 30 days. We then place a lock on the domain name in our database thereby preventing the registry from coming in and taking it prior to the 30 days being up. The registry comes in periodically to check for deleted domains (without locks) and takes them. When they do, they then make it available again usually within 1 to 15 days after we remove the lock. In the case of this domain: thestevecohn.com we will remove the lock on 8/11/05. After that the registry can come in at anytime (and there is no set time, they just do this at random), and take the domain. Once they do that, it will be made available to the general public and anyone can register the domain name at that time.
Usually, a cyber squatter will grab it and then put a for sale page on it. They will also try to contact the original owner and try to sell it back to them for hundreds or even thousands of dollars. Although this practice is immoral, it is unfortunately not illegal.
So bottom line, is there is no way to tell when a deleted domain will be made available again to the general public. Start looking for it to be available again after 8/11/05. Check every day, several times a day and the second you see that it can be registered, grab it.
